황석원 교수 연구실이 친환경/생체친화적 물질 기반으로 고신축성 생분해성 보호막 소재를 개발하고, 발광소자의 수명을 크게 연장시키는 특성을 구현했다. 이번 연구는 생분해성과 유연/신축성을 요하는 다양한 전자소자에 적용되어, 체내 및 습한 환경에서 물리적/전기적 기능을 장시간 안정적으로 유지하는 핵심적인 역할을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.


황석원 교수는 “이번 연구결과는 전자소자의 장시간 안정적 작동에 필수적인 생분해성 보호막 소재와 관련 기술을 개발한 것으로, 고신축/유연 전자소자에 적용되어 기존 소재로는 달성하기 힘들었던 수십일 이상의 긴 수명을 확보할 수 있을 것이고, 스프레잉(spraying), 딥코팅(dip coating) 등의 프로세스가 접목될 경우 적용 가능성이 확대될 것”이라고 기대했다.


이번 연구결과는 권위있는 재료 학술지 ‘ACS Nano (IF=18.027)’지에 7월 27일 온라인 게재됐다.
